by her host of friends in the branch ann auxiiary the local entry in the dart tournament in toronto did very well by the branch and piled up some very good scores we hear lea poulter in particular interesting just th1nkjng its been a busy summer season around the branch what with decoration day zone picnic at streetsville war riors day trip to the cne last week followed by the corn roast and topped off with what we hope will become an annual picnic its been certainly costing a bit to have all these affairs but with the response they are well worth it the picnic was held at erin in stanley park last sunday after noon with perfect picnic weather being just cool enough to suit ev eryone there was a good program of races for the children with a baseball game following the kiddies had a grand time on the swings and slides and made good use of the tickets supplied them for ice cream and pop the only disap- pointment for the children was the failure of the man with the ponies to put in an appearance after being hired however the lack of these didnt seem to stop the children from having a good time supper was held at 530 with over 300 sitting down to eat so together with the others who did not eat in the pavilion we think there must have been close to 350 present in lime to come we feel that this plc- uweeum be btrrrt tp until rtietb could conceivably be ah attendance of at
