elmlra is most anxious to form a league from several eligible teams in western ontario at a meeting in elmira last week at which bob lane represented the georgetown club mike weichel of elmira was appointed convener and interested clubs were asked to get in touch with him this week before the oha is approached represented at the elmira meet ing were georgetown bridgeport walkerton hespeler milverton and elmira invited but not represen ted were fergus orahgeville and milton the intention is to have an in termediate b group composed of towns which have artificial ice in the past georgetown has had con tact with clubs from most of these centres last year the raiders play ed a couple of exhibition games with bridgeport a rough and tough outfit who always play a peppy game they met walkerton in an exhibition game at wingham three years ago milverton met george town in the playoffs milton were groups champs last year and provi ded some of the best games of the season here in past years fergus orangeville and elmira were group ed in the georgetown loop and plenty of fans look back on these as the good old days when car loads of fans followed the team from town to town during the sea son there have been a few changes in executive on the local club this year wilf hillis replacing frank murfin as vicepresident bob lane continuing on as president jim al corn retains his job as treasurer and jack gunning- will be club secretary ray whitmee is in charge of tran sportation and a m baxter has ta ken on the job of publicity man there are strong rumours that jack
