daughters joan and glo ria expect to leave for texas- next week they held an auction sale of their furniture on saturday and this week are staying with friends while mr schiiltz completes some business details mr schultz moved here to estab lish an electrical business which he has operated under the name schultz electrical construction operating from his home at the corner of king and sarah streets for some time mrs schultz has been suffering from an arthritic condition and for rea sons of health it is necessary for her to move to the warm dry sou thern climate they will be mak ing their member of the choir gloria is in grade 8 this year mr schultz has been a good worker in the lions club- and oddfellows loage and will be greatly missed in these organiza tions saturday night a number corns back to you the carol o corns all ye faithful was sung mrs wm r cvomar delighted the gath ering with two very amusing selec tions a chinese auction was stag ed and proved very siiccessf ul add ing substantially to the christmas fund 1 lunch was served by the commit tee mesoames s wilson bausuv- tlne semple kentner and rfear christmas cake and all an ex change of christmas gifts was very thrilling and pleasing as each un wrapped the mysterious packages selected a hearty vote of thtmlra was given to thehostess mrs how ard kentner mrs wm r cromar and the committees and all thoss who helped to make the afternoon such an enjoyable one the institute wishes to take this oppvwtunlty to wish one and all a very- merry christmas and a happy new year and to thank all for their various ithe nominating committee and th officers for 1952 are president mrs hector bird 1st vice mrs frank wilson 2nd vice mrs leslie one of mans oldest crafts is the giffen secretary mrs l glffen making 6f wa meeting this week our saturday pledge was remembered in prayer our missionary chil dren also the sick arrangements were made to hold the annunl meet ing the school children are very busy practicing for their christmas con cert which is to be held in the hall frday evening december 19th the community hall board held euchre and danoe in the hall last friday evening there was a good attendance 1 st johns giiilj held their meet ing last week at mrs barclays home next tuesday december 18th they will- hold their christmas party at mrs john murrays home at a short vestry meeting sun day afternoon it returned horns after spending the past week with mr and mrs walter mendham near hagersville miss agnes gibb of gait was a visitor at the manse for the week end fred barnes the three sweezls children
