arena when 4he lineup of entertainment in cluded an eringeorgetown cjub hockey game races costume prizes and skating to the lome scots band an added feature was a figure skating exhibition by high school student betty greig who has been studying for several years at dixie it was the first skating carnival in town for some years and its sue cess should mean the continuance of this feature by the lions club in future years only disappoint ment was that more grown ups were not in costume but the young peo pie made up for this and there was a good variety of colourful cos tumes especially among the girls skating races occupied the first part of the e merchants tad donated a number of attractive prizes for the 7 and under group each received a balloon and a small gift presented by the service he had been in charge of the business since his fa thers death severaj years ago his father arnott mcclure was a cousin of harold mcclure of town chairman of the retail division of brampton
