among profes sing christians and church work- eis this statement seems old fash ioned as if it belonged solely to bygone old testament days as if god did not speak to us in these days to command us what he wishes us to do as being his will for us that which will be for our highest good and best for the world but ithose days are not past as many a follower o his can witness god still can ana doe commune and speak with usr if we think oth erwise it must be that we ar not listening our ears arc not open to him nor our minds or hearts how does he speak to us in very many different ways not to- each one in the same way but wo will soon learn and understand how if we make ourselves ready to lis ten intently our emblem for to- dunnville mirninates juvenile hockey 120s day tel o an cau w which god speaks to us through the open book gods word his commands for our welfare and that of our world the way of peace and goodwill it tells us of his teachings of the right way of life of our way back to him of the growth of the kingdgom of god if we read his open book seeking sincerely with open heart and mind we will hear him speak the message he has for us he also speaks through his many witnesses ministers tf his who ipreach and teach his word sun day school workers who tell of him to boys and girls at their most re ceptive age and often does god speak to us through his witnesses who say little with their tongue but much with their lives whose doings tell those with whom they come in contact that they have heard god speak and beliee so are trying to live his way then through prayer probably our greatest channel for hearing god speaking to us the thing is do we pray and if we do do we also listen for what god may want to say to us he is always ready to listen when we pray aright and to answer in his wisdom then loo god often speaks to us through inspiration inspiration from many sources a good book thoughfully read a picture carefully studied a good play often from
