the day downed bright and clear and just rthe right temperature everyone dug in with a will and no one failed in their appointed tasks citizens filled knox church in the morning for a community service in which protestant clergy took part with certain portions of the service parallelling that of the ac tuai service in westminster abbey earlier st georges church held a communion service common to all anglican churches in the dominion and at the noon hour the big parade began assembling ready to march to the park for the afternoon festivities a sports program filled in the afternoon while a happy throng surged around the grounds then after an hour or two of quiet the park once more was filled to watch a garden party and the fire works which brought georgetown s big day to a climax parade depicts four generations royalty patriotic theme of the parade was four generations iof royalty from queen victoria to the pres ent members of the women s in stitute who arc celebrating cgit and explorers were flanked by mem bers of the yellow jackets motor cycle club some schools had shoul der bands of red white and blue all the children carried little flags the firemen marched in
