was decided to mark the 30th anniversary of the institution by conducting a dual campaign over the next few months v the two main purpose of this combination effort are first lo in crease the membership in your community hospital association and second to secure by voluntary con tributlona additional funds for the purpose of much needed modern equipment to organise the campaign presi dent it i main asked the board lo serve as a committee of the whole and c v charters was appointed to act aa chairman of the special cam psign committee in bringing in the report of the executive committee dealing with this matter both mr blaln and mr charters explained to the board the need for and value of adding to the association individual memberships at the very nominal fee of 2 00 they also pointed out the adopted policy of the hospital in financing the cost of new equipment and other capital expenditures from donations and bequests rather than out of gen era operating account by jiijhering to this policy the board is enabled to keep operating costs and hospital fees to a minimum but for the generous financial sup port and the faithful service of a number of individual men and wo men and our local organisations peel memorial could not have grown and served the community as satis factorily as it has during the past thirty years it is the plsn of the committee to remind and inform the residents of the district what the hospital means to this community and point out to them their duty and responsibility to the institution which administers to the sick and injured this wil be done by means of press and radio publicity and advertising by informative direct mail which will go out to an extensive list of new adult citizens as well as those of ion ger residence in the town and dis trlcl the committee is aiming high and hu set 500 aa the membership objec tive in view of the greatly increased population of the area now served by peel memorial hospital the board feeli that this goal should be achie ved if they can only impress upon the llak mas mln huln niv 11 i j6 no jo ou ill nut 17 tit j2 nv ib 64 311 tu 1j til 41 ou nov jo 4 40 04 nov 1 40 m joyce partridge weds
