festival has come and kone for another year and as usual giis was able to win a fair amount of prizes the only rold medal that we won this year was for belty jean anderson and marilyn southers duet in the jun ior class with a mark of 83 in the tame class shirley fendley and diane harrison with their mark of 70 won the bronze medal while we arc on the subject of du ets in the senior duet class sandra scott and lcannc darou broufiht hon our to the school by placinfi second in their class with a mark of 84 knowing wa could count on pat willson and her sincinu we were hap py to ice her take the bronze medal in the girls 21 and under class also claiming a bronze medal was jean engleby in the girls class of 17 and under although some of our boys did not place they gave a good performance and regardless of their marks we were very proud of them incident ally for most of the boys it was their first eiperiance in singing at festivals since their public school days peter darlington was the only boy to win a prise he placed third in his baritone class tha double trio did not place but both the mixed choir and girls choir came borne once again with a cup you might say it was a cinch since there was no competition la the class but in order to win we had ta obtain 80 mirk or over for both numbers we received s3 marks that sums op the festival for this yesr but as you can see we did very well thanks tour harrison congrat ulations to all you did a wonderful job with exams coming up this is go ing to be thel ast issue until the fall also because of exams and the spring activities i believe thai ihe choir is through with its performances for an other season i think you wfll agree with me though we certainly had a jail year of nerfornaneek twice we helped out at the st johns unlted church evening services we had boys choir singing at the hurricane hazel relief fund concert we also took part in the festival and commen cement not to mention our debut oyr flrampton radio
