the georgetown herald wednesday february 8th 1956 page 2 glen williams james rockard 76 was logan quarryman a lifelong resident of glen wil bams where he worked as a quarry man and later as night watchman at a textile mill james crockard 76 was buried in glen williams cemetery saturday following funeral service at the harold c mcclure funeral home in town mr crockard was horn on ship board when his mother was cmigrat ing from ireland to canada he at tended public school in the glen and high school in georgetown then wor ked for raany years in the logan quarries unmarried he made his home with his mother until her death and latterly bved alone in a house be side the glen bridge of late years he was night watch man at the old barraclough mill and then had a similar job with glen tc tiles in the building which was de stewarttown owing to the heavy snowfall last monday the junior w a meeting had to be cancelled the w a meeting last week was held at mrs blizard s home with a quilting the w a meeting this week is thursday february 9th will be at mrs bluard s home at 2 p m next week friday february 17th the world day of prayer meeting will be held at mrs sanfords home at 2
