anniversary in their home on king street georgetown mrs gummer was born mae clark in codrington ontario and mr gum mer was born in casselton ont they were married fifty years ago by the methodist minister rev mr dixon for their honeymoon they travel led west to alberta there liking the country they stayed for five years ranching a quarter section of land in ardrie five miles north of calgary from there they went to the county of northumberland for sixteen years leaving there they moved to milton where they operated a dairy farm for six years in 1928 they moved to geor getown where they have made their home ever since they have five children mrs mar shall timbers zella mrs george chaplin norma mrs don massey grace of peterborough mrs millie armann and bruce there are nine grandchildren and seven great grand children the esteem in which this couple is held was shown by the profusion of gifts cards and flowers and the num ber of people who colled during the afternoon and
