1957 dear editor in this troubled old world of ours one is furnished with a vari ety of thoughts on the ailments and the cures applied are some times worse than the disease with the resignation of sir anthony and the inauguration of president eisenhower one took in hand to wreck the world and the other to build a sound and secure world if it is possible this seems to have been the case since the world began and with all our ex perience education and science we dont seem to have advanced much in the salvation of a suf fering world when one hears so much about the misery and want caused by the domination and- enslavement of the less greater powers throu ghout the world with nothing but selfinterest at heart these great powers are trying to set thel world free or at least relieve the suffering that still remains a prob- 1cm for h if these great powers were to operate as promptly and efficient ly as the georgetown fire dept the world would be a paradise for all rich and poor alike the same would apply to council and board of transport if they were inter ested enough or cared enough to eliminate the level crossings which still and will remain a men ace to toad and highway traffic nevertheless i must say that wc arc fortunate at least to have the georgetown fire dept on call day or night saturdays and sun days included they are always on the job ready and willing to do their utmost to relieve the suffeirngs caused by ore wherc- evcr it may be honest action is what the world is yearning for yours truly j i g graham r r 1 nine brownies in enrolment ceremony nine
