for a year and then in geor getown attending school here when her father had a barber shop on main street the family moved back to the city and she lived there until 1949 when she returned to georgetown she had lived in mt dennis for the past thiee years she was a member of first bap tist church here and was instrum ental in organizing the sunshine club which she patterned after a similar hadnt initialled road accplints be- cause he doesnt think itts nee sary v- v last week council voted- to pay only accounts which have been initialled bar a committee chair man on monday several ac- counts were held because this procedure had not been followed by some committee heads its not fair to keep a man waiting for his money said cr gray i checked every road ac count and they are supported by vouchers i didnt have time to initial the accounts this morning and 1 dont think its necessary mr gray said that if this pro cedure is followed council should go one step farther and read every item on each account in stead of just a total reeve allen said the purpose of the new procedure is to have a committee chairman in a posi tion to explain any account and that it is designed to speed up payment this practice is uncommonfor us but is used by many councils said the mayor a similar system is used in county council he said the mayor explained that he is not against the new system al
