for district children when santa claus makes his annual visit the 26th such time he has ap peared by courtesy of the local lions club with an assist from the firemen a parade which will include 18 floats contributed by various in dustries and organizations will form on windsor rd east of the iga store and will start off at 130 down the highway it will tflavel to the cenotaph then down main st making a circle on park st market and church sts back to main santa will stop in his sleigh at the bank corner where he will perform his usual chore of handing out bags of candy to every youngster there will be three bands in the parade this year the george town brass reed band the girls pipe band and brampton clown band floats will be malnlyjiyr- sery rhyme characters and there re trophies being awarded as there were last year to the best floats submitted to raise funds for santas visit the lions is conducting the usual- lucky draw with prizes of fowl and a special prize of a doll dress ed in dollar bills the club is hoping for the usual cooperation from the public in buying tickets to help defray costs of santas visit no effort has been spared to make this a highlight in 26 suc cessful year of the santa aprade a committee headed by tomrreed has worked hard planning it and the parade will be well worth seer ing 11 shopping davs till xmas changeover time at ma veals now is the
