instructor or if sim on is present it will soon be play- ed in pt class suggestions everyone you talk to seems to be asking about the next school dance pr complaining about the few dances we do have but if the complainers would attend the trots the student council might make enough money to promote more through a little research i found that out of a class of 35 or 40 pu pils somewhere in the vicinity of 5 attended the ball you just cant hold a dance to give the orchestra rehearsal it must be supported and you the students are to do i you all know as well as myself that our dances ate limited because of the lack of funds and rumpus rooms if only you would back them we might get one pr two more a year so come on kids pro mote the cause and there is a guar antee of plenty of fun and prizes i heard a rumour going around the school of fine arts concerning music appreciation classes it sounds like a swell idea and we- would be learning how to enjoy that long haired stuff of yester year each noon hour- we have a prom concert from georgetown high carnegie hall i have tried to picture elvis playing shake rattle and roll on a harpischord and all i can see are a lot of shim mying muscles if you remember back a couple of years you will recall that we had a system of tabs or bars in the scbopl for various things such as press uniform cheerleaders and others it was discontinued after a year because of the rising costs of school living wouldnt it be a good idea to try and get it started again tne race to collect tabs would stimulate competition throughithe school in milton they have a system where if you earn seven bars you get a crest icn bars a piok also they jiavc other activities such as howling anj other competitions between the girls lets all make ap effort to strive for this in the future 10b report martha mulder here it is again a word from 10b although im not so sure just how cheery it is the happy prospect of exams or unhappy as you take it are here again i wish everyone luck if anybody finds the door or win dow being mysteriously opened or closed by some unseen hand it is probably the spirit of room 13 joo- king for home as i was looking through changed to protect the guilty a recent news release from the kremlin has b en haekchecked n waling the following startling facts the heroes of this achenttuc have recently i invert their jum m wauls hut nioie about that 1 il r the story opened on the night of he launching of the navy famous russian satellite sputnik this launching took place on the gloi lously beautiful five acre ranch of the loyacomradc ivan slopeniv- ich iffs faithful loyal cow com radc bessyovitch seems to have wandered too close to the launch ing site she went unnoticed for it seems bessyovitch was a jersey cow and she blended in with the scenery because the rocket was painted red of course when the latter took off she was further unnoticed because on its way to its orbit the rocket was hidden in the shadow of the iron curtain contrary to public belief it was not powerful batteries which gave the signal from the sputnik but the sad calling of the lonely bes syovitch when this noise stopped later it only meant that the cow had vacated the satellitefor wide open space a passing meteorite picked her up this explains the reason why the satellite was not destroyed when it passed through the shower of meteors a few weeks ago she of course showed her faith to the kremlin by protecting sputnik to be continued equip- j farm news electrical fire hazards on the farm many fire accidents on ontario farms are caused
