hearsal a one act play coffee was served during the evening the photographers had an ex cellent show in the sunday school room valuable equipment which included two movie cameras two projectors an enlarger a print dry er and an expensive press camera were viewed enlargements of can did camera- shots taken by the stud ents of work going on in other night school classes were mounted on the wall coloured slides were shown during the evening among them being some taken by a stud ent who had visited the pacific coast last summer nearby a varietj of sitk screen prints formed a bank of harmonius colour draperies cushions table covers place mats table napkins and tea towels were among the printed textiles while several des igns for signs or christmas cards were shown on paper across the room a striking and brilliant effect was achieved by the metal work class with gleaming po lished copper mounted against background of dull black beginners sewing had a clever and original display and the small crisp frocks turned out by the children s sewing group were char ming some really ambitious work was done b the carpentry class this j ear not all of it was on view but several cheats had been
