fire chief fred shaw of oakvule a recommendation will be made to the ontario fire mar shall for a complete investigation of the methods used by salesmen in attempting to sell home fire detections systems to household ers and the cost of these sys tems mr klarer pointed out to the bureau that numerous calls have been received indicating nigh salesmanship and scare tactics involved in the sell ing of these systems the price of which in many cases exceeds 400 other fire chiefs at the meet ing stated that they too had been confronted with numerous calls and in some cases the people were under the impression that the local fire departments had approved the selling of these ore detection systems mr klarer also pointed out that in many cases while the homeowners had never heard of fire
