rev john rathbone instructed the seniors refreshments games and songs followed and the final period found all the boys and girls hard at work on handicraft the prim ary group made a variety of things of interest to that age group while the seniors painted plaster nativity figures these have a great teaching value por traying as they do one of the most important festivals of the church year the entire instruction was on the church year from advent through all saints colored fron- tals on the altar were changed each day to conform with the particular season being taught and hymns appropriate to the season were used the final evening consisted of a church year pageant by the seni ors a talk on what the school accomplished presentation of cer tificates and refreshments mr rathbone extended
