citizen and veteran entertainer joe martin will be 93 on wednesday april 1st the father of fred and john martin mrs george glassford and mrs jack armstrong he did not enjoy bis usual perfect health dur ing the past winter however wps never bedridden in recent weeks he has made a steady recovery and is again taking his frequent strolls downtown and greeting his many friends a year ago he made a surpris ingly quick recovery from a fall he suffered around christmas time and returned to a state of health where he could again display the sep dancing and play the bones with the same smartness tht won him awards at garden parties artfl talent contests in the past two hundred and fifty acres on the martin homestead at cale- don east were his work before he sold the farm thirty years ago and retired to brampton he moved to georgetown with the death of mrs martin 19 years ago and now resides with a daughter mrs george glassford 9 union st he is the last surviving member of his family and a
