local firm hofmann cori struction will build the ten room public school proposed for weber drive t was announced wednes day evening april 4th following the opening or tenders before the board at harrison nublic school the hofmann firm submitted the lowest of seven bids received by the board and were awarded the contract after each tender was con sidered at some length construction on the two storey building will begin immediately with the completion date set at august 15th the architects are john b parkin associates at a meeting last month the board expressed concern over the cf 105 project a situation which could have mean a decrease in the number of rooms proposed had the dept of education seen fit- had the department instructed a rephui the opening would have been delajed possibly until janu ary 1960 though slackening off sharply the influx of new residents in the delrex area did not halt entirely the only fact that saved the prop osed teaching capacity front being cut church while this period of time had a break after 6 years of servicemr laird came back and has now completed almost ten years more as sl john s music director he leaves this church to become the music director of al derwood united church and will be succeeded by kenneth r har rison after the evening service on sunda the congregation mem bers of the junior and senior choirs and others who had
