a junior auxiliary was discussed to some length the president broached the subject by pointing out to the members that the idea of such an auxiliary or something sim ilar has been talked of for a considerable time around the rooms and that he felt possibly this was an appropriate time to bring the subject to the bership v a junior auxiliary would b e formed and made up ofaensof legion members the disparity betweens sons and daughters of members i remarkable inasmuch that dau ghters can if they wish join the branch ladies auxiliary while the sons at the present are unable to take part in the many activities of the branch bylaws okey it the general bylaws of the royal canadian legion permits the formation of such an auxil iary under similar conditions rules and regulations as those laid down to be observed at the formation of a ladies auxiliary approval must be obtained from provincial command be fore a junior auxiliary can be- come effective members seemed to be quite interested numerous questions were asked and most received answers some questions will have to be answered after ad- vice from higher authority has been obtained it was decided that no decis- ion would be sought for at this time but that the members should think about the subject which will doubtlessly be dis cussed at the april meeting nothing new a junior auxiliary is by no means a new venture many branches throughout the domin ion have their junior auxiliaries it is thought that the mem bers of a branch junior auxili ary would have to form their own executive and that the ide al bylaws would need to be drawn up they would certainly expect ami receive help advice and guidance from the branch thirtyeight teams travelled from different parts of ontario on saturday to try their
