been no onsurmountabn problems or major disturbances and all in all we feel that the staff doctors and board member appreciate the easy efficient way that the plant is operating we attribute a great deal of the good feeling and teamwork around the hospital to those in charge of the every day rou tine the dept heads and sup ervisors and of course the ad ministrator sod chief of itaff what a in store for our hos pital expansion wise that is well soon know as a report is being prepared by dr lumsden and department ohc projecting our future needs in the next five years thiris the length of time five years evidently wben an addi ction will be most urgent and of course plans must be laid lonf before that at present the department is investigating the yearly growth of the com- munity in the future and the expansion plans of business and industry here we might add whohas seen the in- dux of patients into the hospi- lntji in the past two weeks will realize that more beds may be needed sooner than anyone had ithought possible a drastic change has evident ly occurred in the commissions thinking about chronic beds it was until recently the policy that each area had a designated ihospital servicing certain ar- a for patients with chronic fflnfiff there has been a re appraisal of thipa however and we understand that theyre bow being established in any ihospital proving a need for this jservice to our way of think- iing this would be one of the logical services that george- town might take advantage of at any rate no doubt the lumsden report will establish iaome firm guidelines for future needs in town we look forward to seeing it in the near future happy to see that auxiliary eoembers are still working hard at their fundraising activities j president inez
