should judse the best snee the hospital op ened in m all departments are functioning weh and the year has shown remarkable progress in many ways there have been few changes ln staff and there seems to be a fine spirit of co operation throughout with the annual meeting just a few weeks away we should judge the annual report will be an excel lent one details of the annual meeting will appear in next week s col umn along with the usual ad how will the hospital ob serve this years centennial a number of suggestions have been made but as yet there are no firm plans laid at the last board meeting however it was moved that the head of public relations be chairman of this committee and collaborate with mrs inez cnchton in the formation of suitable plans for this years celebration it hoped to have plans formaliied in the next six weeks cr bill smith the town s centennial chairman has offered the council a assistance in any way posssible our personal preference for a centennial project would be something that would be of a lasting nature and in case anyone should be interested in marking our centennial year by a gift to the hospital we have a rather length list of items from a very modest cost to rath ers expensive ones to get back to the original point however we should like to sec a concrete effort made this year to provide air conditioning for one or two areas and wo think parttcul arly of the operating room and obstetrics these are the two areas where it is most needed and indeed without it it is bee oming more difficult to function properly with the increasingly heavier use of both areas this is a heavy expenditure but is one that is vitally neccsssary to the well being of the hospital more about this later on behalf of the hospital we welcome georgetown s new in d us tries to our community it has been the custom of the board to imite various groups including industry to the hos pital to show thenuthe facilities we have available and to ask them if they have any suggest ions as to how the institution can stve the community best these special nights have be come most successful and we hope that in the near future such an event will be held to allow our new corporate citu ens to become acquainted with one of our most important in stitutions there have been a number of small donations coming in to the hospital lately for which e are truly grateful once more we would like to say that not one red cent comes to the hospital for new equip ment or capital expenditures from any source be it govern ment or otherwise the com mission pays only the day to day operating costs and not one cent towards anything else we produ had man qucit wedding anniversary on ions on thx proposed method tuesday febru of maintaining and acquiring for fast action miltipl ums servici consult a membek op the brampton real estate board i often hear that tired old state ment the government pays for it and we would emphasixc this is just not true for any improvements and new equip ment we must rely solely on the generosity of our citixcns org animations tnd industry administrator fred whitlakcr tells us that he now has our new number from the dcpt of national revenue stating that we arc a registered charitable organization under the incom- tax act which means we are a recognized income tax de duction if you would like to give us a donation bishop
