fire prevention bureau report ed it was a highly successful celebration at their october meeting neld in milton last week the bureaus member depart merits in acton georgetown milton and oakville carried out their own fire prevention prog rams with the assistance of th- halton bureau in planning and literature milton firefighters held a successful open house and film night at the fire hall and con ducted drills in town and dist net schools and institutions such as the hospital halton ma nor pnd ontario school for the deaf the oakville fire depart ment had a busy week of pro motion which included library display ard school drills and culminated in the official op ing of the new central fire station on saturdav afternoon programs in acton and geor getoun were similar- cton fire fighters also concentrated on setting up an industrial fire pre en ion progtam to encourage industrial vmploecs to be more aware of fire hazards tht- gens gctown brigade hosted an open house at the geoffrey drew brook gave a very gratifying report on their refreshments booth at the geor getown r air it was decided that a donation be given to the gen era fund of the church plans were discussed for the annual rummage and home bake sale mrs clifford hunter will con vene the bake sale plans for a centennial party for all mem hers their husbands and form er members is bing planned for the
