however does not mean that information regarding the telephone busli ess in georgetown is a complete blank for these years record show that in 1897 georgetown had a 50 line standard switel board and this are lacking for 1905 and 1906 continuous service being given to georgetown subscribers who by the end year numbered 111 numbers had been assigned to telephone users in georgetown from 1899 early
