that were there enjoyed themselves and had as much pop and hot dogs as they wished shotting and swimming saturday morning thirtyse ven members of the squadron were at cedarvale awaiting the bus to take them to downsview where they were expecting to swim and visit the rifle range we arrived at cedarvale in time ito ee lt carl groskoth demon strating with power driven mo del aircraft carl was doing fine until lis lines became tang- jed then the model took a pen- sect one point landing on its jjose seriously the model club that carl has organized within the squadron is most popular tvith the boys and is carrying i on through the summer months the bus arrived at 930 capt i rod macdonald formed the cad- cts into two flights one to the i swimming pool the other to the i yange the boys at the pool had a ball they played water polo those at the range had a brief lecture on the rifle they shot off a number of rounds at targ ets which they were allowed to keep the flight at the range braneli pipe band bearing for the second year the trophy they won for their efforts at tillsonburg in the torch light parade russ stephens invited pipe major merv allen and his band upstairs where dampens picnic activities were reduced but not washed out completely by a late afternoon rain which dampened first baptist church picnic goers saturday a good sized crowd retreated to the shelter of
