FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24. 1919 " Revolt In The Home Tn a recent meeting of groups of women in a western 'state it was suggested that a homemakers' strike be called, with a demand for an eight hour day. The old program set forth in the rhyme, "For man may work from sun to sun But woman's work is never done." has its injustice, to be sure. Why should the man's day he shortened from the sun to sun schedule to eight hours of the twenty-four and the woman's go on forever? Women ought to revolt against the prevailing schedule of their working hours, but the revolt must be directed against the bad habit of the unor- ganized day, unsystematized work, and a disposition to dawdle through what might be done quickly. The Young Ladies' Auxiliary of the Catholic Woman's club will hold its first meeting of the year on Sun- day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank H. Jones, 1118 Forest avenue. Following the business meeting twenty wounded soldiers from Fort Sheridan will be entertained at a box supper and entertainment. Miss Claudia Verhalen is president of the organization, and Mrs. Jones is the Woman's club chairman.
