THE LAKE SHORE NEWS, FRIDAY, JULY 15, 1921. Friends Swelter To Fight For Thai^ Little Hen House Friends of the John £. Stevens family, 404 Gregory avenue, forsook the summery environs of their homes Wednesday morning to suffer the stifling confines of the village court room, all because they couldn't bear to think of the Stevens* chicken house being among the things that are no more. Friends of the Max Cuter family, 412 Gregory avenue, next door neigh- bors to the Stevens*, also came to swelter in the hope that things would happen to that hen cottage. The chicken house et. at had been branded a nuisance and so the inter- ested ^parties went before Justice Mickey to argue the thing out. - There were attorneys, three of them, and a real live, perspiring jury of six business men. Arguments pro and con â€" heated, too. And the jurors were taken to the scene of the alleged nuisance and back to the court in palatial mo- tor carriages. "Not Guilty", was the verdict after- five minutes of deliberation. The Stevens and their friends went home home happy and the chickens got an extra big feed that night.
