Orcutt of 185 Green Bay road, Glencoe, a prominent north shore clubwoman, and a former president of the Woman's Library club, of Glencoe, is the organist and --------- • • .----------- music director Mrs. D. C. Orcutt at the Glencoe Union church. She will ren- der art inter- esting musical program for the 2New Year's service at the Union church next Sunday morn- ing. And aside from its being a most delight- ful program, is the fact thai this will bi netka Woman's club, of which Mrs. Emory C. Andrews is- chairman, for Saturday afternoon of this week. Mrs. Edwin S. Fetcher, a favorite pianist in Winnetka, will play three of the Brahms waltzes to be followed only the third program presented on the newly rebuilt organ, with its love-. ly set of chimes, harp attachment, and additional new features. Mrs. Orcutt has plans to promote the general appreciation of good or- gan music in the community. She feels that the pipe organ is destined to become a much greater power in the near future, as they are being used so extensively in moving pic- ture theaters, and as municipal at- tractions. A delightful holiday entertainment for the children has been arranged by the Music committee of the Win- by a group of Chinese lullabies, sung by Mrs. Ernst Von Amnion, and a 'cello solo by Alexander Magnus, a pupil in the sixth grade of the Hub- bard Woods school, and an excellent little artist" on his instrument. A group of interpretative; dances in cos- tume will be presented by the Misses Virginia MacLeish, Marjorie Janney, Jean Markley, and Carol Whitman, pupils of Miss Alicia Pratt. The musical program will be fol- lowed by "movies," most likely de- picting an interesting fairy tale, and the film is not to be inflammable. Mrs. Arthur Alschuler and Mrs. Ar- thur Raff are arranging a "Peer Gynt Evening" for the benefit of the Vassar college salary endowment fund, at the Drake, Sunday, January 15, at 8:15 o'clock. Among the patronesses are Mrs. Abby Farwell Ferry, Mrs. John S. Cooney,jMr*. Joseph *rsendratH, Mrs. Mason Bross, Mrs. Andrew Mac- Leish, Mrs. William H. Bush, and Mrs. William Dow Harvey. There will be a meeting of the Cur- rent Events, class at the Wilmette Woman's club on next Wednesday afternoon, January 4, at 2:30 p. m. Miss Julie S. Adams will speak on "Russia and the Far East."
