Oberlander, George (Died)

George Oberlander, who for the past two years had been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Stopka, 1536 Lake avenue, died Saturday, June 10 at the age of 79 years. Mr. Oberlander had been a resident of Wilmette for the last ten years. When he first came to Wilmette he lived with his sister, Mrs. Sarah Savage, at 684 Sheridan road, and after her death several years ago he continued to live at that address. Two years ago the house, a landmark in the village, was torn down, and Mr. Oberlander went to live with the Stopkas. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Scott's funeral home, and burial took place at Memorial Park cemetery.
