Blasius, Peter

Peter Blaslus, 385 Birch street, Winnetka, was born June 22, 1867, his parents at that time living on Willow road, just cast of the railroad. On November 10, 1897, he was married to Mary Berry, a native of Ireland, the companionship started at that time continuing to the present day.

Mr. Blasius early in life took up the plastering trade, which he has never abandoned. He became a contractor, and many are the North Shore homes which his skill contributed. Living all his life in the village of his birth, he naturally has a wide acqaintance. He has witnessed Winnetka’s development from a straggling hamlet to today’s beautiful and important community, and his reminiscences of its progress make a most interesting story.
