- A memorial service was held April 21 for Ruth H.L. Peterson at Wm. H. Scott Guardian Chapel in Wilmete with the Rev. Harry Conner and the Rev. John Rathod of Emmanuel Methodist Church of Evanston officiating. Burial was at Rosehill Cemetery. Mrs. Peterson died April 19 at the Georgian in Evanston. She was 93. A native of Chicago, she is survived by her sons, Dr. Robert Peterson and Dr. Clarence Peterson, Jr. of Wilmette and Thomas Peterson of Bedford, Mass.; her daughter, Maribelle Anderson of Okemos, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Clarence H. Peterson; her daughter, Margery Peterson, and her sister, Della Stebbins.
