- Esther R. Hathaway (née Ruggles), 81, of Wheeling and formerly of Glenview, died July 11, 2002 in Wheeling. Born June 21, 1921 in Yale, S. D. Survivors include three daughters, Anne of Evanston, Sarah (Mick) Winandy of Maple, Wisconsin and Charis (Del) Virgo of Wheeling; one son, David (Diane) of Brockville, Canada; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Joseph Avery Ruggles of Tampa Bay, Florida, and Edward Ruggles of Anita, Iowa. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wing
