- Samuel Sewall Greeley, 87, died November 10, 2001 in Evanston. Born September 14, 1914 in Winnetka. Named for his great-grandfather, Samuel Sewall Greeley. Survivors include a daughter, Sara (Charles) Fortescue-Webb of England; a son, Sam S. Greeley Jr. of Seattle; five grandchildren, Alex, Duncan, Richard, Henry and Ted; and one brother, Frederick Greeley. Preceded in death by his wife, Irene Mares Greeley in 1988.
