- Life-long Lake Forest resident Kenneth E. Griffis, 72, died May 18 at Lake Forest Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Karsten; two sons, Randall Griffis of Wilmette and William Griffis of Glenview; one daughter, Hollis McDonald of Lake Forest; and six grandchildren.
