- Thomas Amon Daugherty 68, a former resident of Wilmette, died May 21 in Gallup, New Mexico. He was born in LaPorte, Ind. Mr. Daugherty was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Mantz-Daugherty. He is survived by three sons: Thomas Amon Daugherty II of Madison, Wis., Timothy Mantz Daugherty of Tampa Fla.; Todd Brian Daugherty of Sarasota, Fla.; a daughter Chari Dawn Daugherty of Palatine; a sister, Patricia Lochridge of St. Augustine, a brother John "Jack" Daugherty of Wauwatosa, Wis.; five grandchildren, and a companion, Gladys Dickey of St. Augustine.
