Memorial services were held in Antioch for Edward Stafford Challinor today (Thursday). Mr. Challinor died Tuesday, June 19. Mr. Challinor and his family lived in Wilmette for many years, moving to Antioch in 1941, where he continued as arts director for Pickard, Inc., makers of china. He was associated wtih the firm beginning in 1900. Mr. Challinor was born and married in England, where he received his training as a ceramic artist at the Doulton Ltd. Pottery at Burstem. Surviving him are his widow, Gertrude; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Shaw of Evanston; a son, Malland E. Challinor of Wilmette; and three grandchildren.
