- Kyle McCruden and Ryan Foreman, both of New Trier High School, combined last weekend to help the Illinois 1991 ODP state team capture the national title at the U.S. Youth Soccer Championships in Frisco, Texas.
Wilmette tennis product Jared Hiltzik, age 12, won five of six matches earning a third place finish overall in the Boys 14s age group at the Midwest Designated national tournament last weekend.
Wilmette WOlves 6A boys travel basketball team claimed the title at the season-ending North Suburan Basketball League tournament. The team is coached by Jeff Kost and Phil Suse. Andrew Kirby's name was left out of last week's story on the team.
Chicago Young Americans 16-Under Elite girls hockey team captured the Blackhawk Cup state championship. Local players traveling to the nationals include Tara Kent of Glenview, Carli Pridmore of Winnetka, Jessica Puig of Niles, and Claire Santostefano of Wilmette. - Date of Publication
