- Some fifth-graders in Skokie School in Winnetka, "The Skokie School Baldies" a team of past and present fifth-grade boys, teachers, students and one man from Wilmette--have raised $9,461 for childhood cancer by shaving heir heads on March 19. Proceeds have gone to St. Baldrick's Foundation. Teachers Ernie Love and Anthony Rowe organized the annual event. Comments by student, Gavin Green and his mother Catherine O'Connell. Comments by fifth-grader Julian Good. No girls chose to participate.
