- Pageant at State Capital to be historical event in progress of Illinois amont sister states of the union. List of speakers include leaders throughout the United States: John H. Finley, president of the University of New York; Monsieur Aubert, head of the French High Commission; Professor Allen Johnson of Yale University; Professor Albert J. Benton of the Western Reserve University at Cleveland; Professor H . J. Eckenrod of Richmond, Va.; Charles W. Moore of Indianapolis, Lincoln scholar. Arrangements will be announced by Mrs. Jessie Palmer Weber, secretary of the Centennial Commission. William Chauncey Langdon will supervise production of the pageant. Miss Florence Lowden, daughter of Governor Lowden, will play a prominent part. Proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross.
