- About 16 government-made wartime movies were found in Wilmette's Huerter Letion Hall Post 46. Post commander Michael Jonscher and Elaine Lenz of the legion's auxiliary decided to screen a few for the World War II Roundtable. The group meets monthly at the Wilmette Public Library.
The Army Pictorial Service movies included "The Army Nurse" (1945) and "What is a Battle?" (1944). The latter included footage of General Dwight D. Eisenhower pleading for war bond purchases. Comments by former Army Air Corps pilot Mel Perelman and Lincolnwood's Morrie Askenaz. Other Army Pictorial Service films can be viewed free at archive.org on the internet. - Date of Publication
