Notes: The family of Pryscila Reis moved to Wilmette in October 2004 to provide the child the care she needed at Children's Memorial Hospital. Pryscila is paralized due to spina bifida. The family included her father, Joao Carlos Reis, her mother, her older brother Lucas Loureiro-Reis and sister, Rebecca. The family returned to Brazil when Joao Carlos Reis' work visa expired. The author, Pryscila's teacher at Central School, visited the Reis family on June 25, 2007 at their home in Juiz de Fora, Brazil.
