- A pageant called "The History of Chicago" was staged at Ravinia Park on Friday and Saturday of last week. The program was written and staged by Miss Ruth Collins assisted by a committee. Miss Evelyn Ison performed a solo dance with a ballet of flame spirits made up of young people of Kenilworth. Smoke spirits were from Winnetka. Miss Louise Tennis of Evanston portrayed Chicago rising from the fire. Wilmette was represented in a special feature for children consisting of two dances, Pierrot and Pierrette, by Marion Reese and Martha Thomas, and a Dutch dance by Bobsie Skinner and Walter Nelson. In these performances the following youngsters took part: Jane Greiner, Henriette Bird, Gertrude Brown, Virginia Belt, Mary Worthington, Helene Siebold, Beatrice Rand, Elizabeth Thompson, Virginia Lillenfield, Ruth Dietrick, Sarah Huguenin, Virginia Olwin, Helen Phelps, Dorothy Hardenbrook, Katherine Cody, Katherine Scheidenhelm, Florence Gillson, Mildred Latham, Eleanor Blymyer, Bobsie Skinner and Helen Skinner.
Kenilworth children depicted the first wedding in Chicago. Maysie Gasque and Mark Cresap, Jr., were seen in original dances. Other members of the wedding party wre the Misses Elva Southward, Hester Wentworth, Beatrice Lackner, Elizabeth Stuart, Virginia Powell, Luc and Edith Chandler, Florence Evans, Charlotte Everatt, and Merssrs. Leon Allen, Herbert Taylor, Vincent Taylor, John Coolidge, Robert Dyer, Robert Lester and Wallace Evans. - Date of Publication
