- Edward J. Wagner, formerly of Wilmette, died Sept. 6 at his home at 2328 Hastings Av., Evanston. He was 77. Wagner was born in Wilmette. Survivors include his wife, Ethel; son Edward of Mt. Prospect; three daughters, Marion Jaimes of Monee, Jean Stahl of Evanston and Charlotte Schaefer of Mt. Prospect, and a brother, Walter of Barrington.
His father, Nicholas, was a one-time mayor of the Village of Gross Point, the area west of Ridge Rd. that is now part of Wilmette. - Date of Publication
