- John D. Couffer, village president for nine years, is retiring and Mr. O. W. Schmidit will take his place. As a gift Couffer was presented with a chest of silver containing 173 pieces. Men on the presentation committee included Mr. Thomas M. Knox, E. J. Kirchberg, John Gillis, G. W. Kibby, W. B. Davies, W. E. Hudson, Ed Zipf, C. C. Mitchell, Frank J. Scheidenhelm, Lyman Drake, A. G. Brown, F. G. Seng [unclear], F. A. Waidner, H. G. Drury
Officers sworn in were O. W. Schmidt, H. W. Miller, W. J. Montgomery, Joseph Heinzen, Percy Andrews, Ralph Baker. E. E. Orner is village clerk. C. C. Carnahan was appointed village attorney. Frank Forester is superintendent of public works and Mr. Dunshee is his assistant. - Date of Publication
