- Owners of a home on he 400 block of Illinois Avenue wrapped their house in giant red ribbon. Resident Tav Paterson said he was touched whan a neighbor wrote "Merry Christmas Tav" on a piece of paper and hunt in her window facing his kitchen. Religious organizations are offering thew things too. Community Church of Wilmette will host the Quest Theatre Ensemble's Blue Nativity, a puppetry and musical adaptation of the Christmas story. Chabad of Wilmette constructed a 10-foot-high "canorah" out of nonperishables to be donated tothe greater Chicago Food Depository.
