The last evening meeting of the Parents' club of the Logan schocol was held Thursday night. A series of thunder showers kept a number of members at home, but what the audience lacked in numbers was more than made up in enthusiasm.
The program was given by members and friends of the Choral club under the leadership of Mrs. Gordon, with Mrs. Northam as accompanist. They sang, "Sail On, O Ship of State," "Integer Vitae," "The Dancers," "Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes," and "Washington."
Mrs. Martha Lusted gave a piano solo in he usual delightful manner. Mrs. Hilton gave several whistling solos. Mrs. Burrows and Miss Phelps also sang. All were generous enough to respond to encores.
The readings by Miss Irene Paulson so captivated the audience that she recited more than half dozen different classic and humorous stories before quiet could be restored.
The recital was the first given by the Choral club which is a branch organization of the Parents' Club. Much appreciation was expressed at the excellent work accomplished in the short time that it had been organized.- Featured Link
