- Barbara M. Brown, 83, of Batavia, formerly of St. Charles and Wilmette, died May 21 at the Holmstad in Batavia. Mrs. Mills was born March 29, 1925 in St. Louis, Mo. to George Glenn Mills and Dorothy Knight Herold. She married Edgar James Brown in 1945. Survivors include one daughter, P. J. (Larry) Dockter of St. Charles; one son, James G. (Alison) Brown of Barrington, R.I.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar.
