An attempted kidnapping is reported form Ashland avenue on Saturday afternoon. Myra Hobbs, a little 5-year-old girl whose home is at 1504 Ashland avenue, was being led away by a short, thick-set man, about 5 o'clock on Saturday. He was stopped and the child was taken from him by Mrs. M. J. Kelly, 1510 Ashland avenue.
