Notes: Elizabeth Eileen "Betty" (nee Spies) Heinzen of Wilmette died July 25 in Evanston Hospital after a brief illness. She was 84.

Mrs. Heinzen was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Chicago.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert Joseph; nine children, Mary Ann, Susan (Tim) McMann, Margaret Smith, James (Eileen), Patricia Leary, William (Joan), John (Barbara), Stephen (Shukuko) and Jeffery (Patricia); 15 grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Valen, Conor, Dylan, Caitlyn, Paul, David, Dillon, Bailey, Greer, Alexander, Brandon, Gabriela and Patrick; and one great-grandchild, Brooke.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Paul Spies.
