Notes: Joseph B. Young, 86, died July 23 in his Wilmette home.

Mr. Young, who had lived in Wilmette for 50 years, was born March 16, 1922, in Chicago to Bernhardt and Theresa Szabol Young.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth (George) Axtmann; and granddaughter Melissa Axtmann.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, his parents and his siblings.
